Move closer to your router,
Use a wired connection,
Turn off some devices you are not using that are connected to the internet,
Close any applications/programs which you are not using,

The only was would be to really try basic things... Hardwiring to the internet (although often now a days this isn't quicker at all) Next check you're getting the speeds you have been promised from your ISP.. if not they will be able to fix that for you. The only other way is to upgrade to a quicker package (Fibre etc..) or change ISP's completely.

Hope this helped

Sky boxes have an Ethernet port round the back of the router. Plug one end into there, and the other into the back of your PC.

You use an Ethernet cable, plug it into the back of your router then into the device you are using. This for me almost doubles my download speeds.

Just use an ethernet cable from the router to your console!

Either close un-useful tabs that you don't need or else ring Sky up and ask for better internet

Disconnect all devices connected to the WiFi, also try not to download at peak times.

There's no real "quick-fire" way to speed up downloads. Try to use a wired connection and make sure you're getting as close to your promised speed from your ISP.

One other thing you can do is check to make sure you're using your closest download server in the program you are using (for example Steam lets you choose which server you can download from) and you can choose your closest server do it downloads quicker. However you haven't said whether the download is through the xbox marketplace, Steam, Origin ect, so I don't know if it will have that option.

Other than that, you can call up your ISP and get a faster package if they offer one, however this won't be instant, will cost you more money and will be more for the long term, not for the short term.
