It is possible to transfer your OS from one HDD to another, I've done it in the past, but it almost screwed up 1000 times. Best not to judge a process by a single personal experience though, here is a guide: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Alternatively you could use the old HDD on your new PC, but I wouldn't recommend using the same HDD for too long without backing up data.
