Okay so i was wondering if anyone could give me and idea if i could afford insurance on a vauxhall Corsa 1.2litre sxi 2002 monthly.
So currently i bring in £159 per week
Calculation:
£159 x 4 = £639
£639 per month
So Basically what i am asking here is would i be possible to keep up with the insurance?
i might be wrong need opinions thanks!

Yes you should be fine. I would say maybe £1200-£1600 per year or around £120 per month. That's just a guess but you should be okay to insure it, if it's too expensive... get a motorbike lol
If you can insure in one go it will be good because they make most of their money on monthly interest. I always pay in one.

1st month is always a lot more expensive, i'm 17 and I need a 2nd car while my Mini is off the road for repairs (rust) and I was looking at MK2 Golfs, the 1st month was £500 and £170 afterwards so make sure you have enough for that 1st month.

The insurance can vary depending on location, where the car is kept etc etc.
The best way to find out would be to get a quote on-line and set it to monthly instalments and it will give you an average monthly payment as well as an upfront deposit cost.
But on that money you should be perfectly fine affording monthly insurance depending on your outgoings.

My parents say that car insurance for young drivers is really expensive to older drivers, just hope you find something and are on the road driving in no time, DRIVE SAFE!

Firstly, I'd get a quote, don't go in thinking it will be cheap because you might get hit with £2k. Then either save up or pay monthly.

Go call a friggen insurance company. too many things go into it that 99% of the TTG community cannot account for / does not know. It takes like 5 minutes to get a quote...
