A buddy of mine just won $1500 off a scratch off lottery ticket. The lucky bastard is now wanting to invest his winnings into a new gaming rig. His only true request is that it has to have a Titan X. He also said that he would be willing to to go a little more over(like $100) or so if need be. I tried myself to put some parts together, but I feel like you guys on here would probably do a better job. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Just gonna say that PSU is a no no. Especially in that budget of a rig.

Imma just go ahead and throw The cpu cooler back on there. Overclocking with a stock heat sink is a no no.

Your not going to get a very good overclocks with that cooler, Hes going to want to invest in a decent aio or a better air cooler

$15 over but I wouldn't even recommend it. Without the right amount of cooling, the Titan X could easily hit temperatures of 100*c. It's a card that really deserves a custom loop, and sticking a $1k card in a rig with $500 for the rest of the components, just doesn't make sense IMHO.

The stock cooling for that card is fine, it's not great but it's Good enough and since it's rear exhaust I doubt it would struggle that much.

It can get really hot if it's starved. Need good cooling for it, still deserves a custom loop though IMHO.
