Does height ever matter? If it doesn't matter in everyday life, why would it matter in a relationship?

What really matters in a relationship is that you're with someone you love, and can get along with, regardless of their height, shape, weight, size, colour, race, gender, etc etc etc.

I disagree.

Someone can love someone purely on their personality yes.

But others can love people based on both their looks and personality.

I wouldn't want to go out with a tall girl because I wouldn't feel comfortable, I just don't like it. Nor would I want to go out with someone that clearly doesn't have the best of looks, (I don't mean the person has to be amazing with super model looks I mean like if they have crappy teeth, smell etc.)

You say weight and size shouldn't matter. I like curvy girls, my gf is curvy, but if I think someone crosses the boundry and is fat & unattractively big I won't just go out with them due to them being nice.

So that's my take on it.

I never said to date someone based on their personality. Height, race, gender, weight, shape etc do not matter. If someone doesn't want to date someone because they're taller than you'd like, that's fine, but it doesn't really mean that height matters. Not being emotionally interested in someone for any reason is fine, that's your personal opinion and it's fine.

If a guy doesn't want to date a girl because she's too fat, or skinny, that's fine, because he's not attracted to her. If he makes fun of her because she's too fat/skinny/whatever, then he's a dick.

I didn't think we was talking about a guy bullying them for how they look, yeah of course that's not acceptable.

You just made it seem like you was cancelling out all physical things and focusing on personality.

I'm just stating that sometimes people's features, age, size counts towards weather someone could really like them or not.

Well, yeah, because physical looks aren't something someone should be judged on. If you're not attracted to someone, that's fine though. Being compatible with someone should be based mostly off of your personalities and connection with each other, but obviously if one of you isn't physically attracted to the other, it wouldn't work out.

Does that make more sense?
