Hello TTG, I believe this is my first post and I love the community, anyways today I hotswapped my xbox and it worked perfectly, but I went to take my disc out and moved the console just enough to pop the ribbon off on my disc tray and it won't read any discs, it'll just say "open tray." Can you guys give me any tips on fixing it or do I have to buy a whole new console? Please help me out, thank you, if you know anything and need more enough just ask me

All you need to do is push the ribbon back into place. If the ribbon got ripped out, you would have to buy a new ribbon; not a whole xbox.

yes but then he would either have to swap the pcbs over or flash the new drive with the original drives key
