So ive downloaded advanced warfare when it was on sale on steam and i hate playing with a mouse/keyboard so my question is if i buy a xbox 360 controller can i use that? dont just comment saying yes if you have no first hand experience or know for deffinate it works. I know you have to install software from microsoft but would that work?

EDIT -

I also have the option to just buy a logitech gaming controller for PC,
Can i keybind that controller inside of AW

For the xbox 360 controller yeah just plug it in and the game will detect the controller and work. If you were gonna buy a wired controller just plug it in and thats it, a wireless controller will need the wireless receiver.

Yes you can use a Xbox 360 controller. The game has native controller support.

Software isn't needed for a 360 controller, Windows automatically downloads the driver needed when its first connected to the PC.

To your edit:
Most games which have controller support are 360 supported.
However.. A logitech gamepad/controller is different, and doesn't have preset control settings, so it doesn't pick it up as the same thing.
You could try it, but I would suggest going with a wired 360 controller.

If you have a Xbone u can download drivers for the controller and use it with the wire. Thats what im doing.

But yes buy a wired 360 controller. More games support it.
