Oooh, this is a tough one.

I understand both sides of this situation, I recently went through something similar. Mine was more that the girl was consuming all of my free time and it was extremely frowned upon if I ever wanted to do something out of her interests, such as playing a game or hanging out with my buds. I wasn't willing to sacrifice a part of who I was my entire life, for something I thought was just mediocre. I enjoyed my relationship, but at the end of the day it had consumed me so much I felt that I was being forced to throw away anything I ever wanted to do, to cater to her wants and needs. This was too much for me, so I chose to have my free time back to play my games and do what I wanted to do. I also now realize this was the correct decision, because very few times have I regretted losing that relationship. I know there is someone else out there who would be more accepting of my life and time.

Just how I handled my situation and my $0.02. Every relationship/situation is completely different!

If I was super passionate about something I would want my significant other to support me especially if it's something that makes me happy. It may not be the actual card game that throws her off but maybe about how much the game is apart of your life. If all you ever do is talk about the game and play it when you're around her than it may seem that you're more vested in some cards than her.

So take a step back and evaluate what you think will be best. We can't answer this question for you. If I were in your position I'd drop the cards

ell think of the pros n cons if you go to tournaments you can find a girl who has the same hobby as you yugioh (but might be a pain might not) or a girl who you know and is loyal. so i would recommend the girl who been with u for 4 years

If she wants to make you stop the card game, then she'll make you stop other things too.

It's the frog in boiling water: You put a live frog in a pot of cold water, and slowly turn up the heat. Before the frog knows it the water is boiling and it dies without a fight.

She'll keep breaking barriers down, forcing you into someone SHE wants you to be.

TL;DR- Don't give up the card game for her, unless she's a perfect 10.

Kimbrel wrote When I read the title I thought this was a troll, obviously it's not.

I would never recommend leaving a girl for a card game.
What I WOULD recommend is leaving a girl if she can't accept the person you are.

There is a huge difference there.

i found this to be the best advice posted on this topic..

If she won't accept who you really are then it may be better to leave her. Its who you are and you should not have to change your personality just for her.

If I approach this question seriously, I am going to go with keep the card game. If a friend (or even girlfriend for that matter) can't handle your hobbies that you enjoy that hurt no one, then they really aren't for you. Just how I see that.

If your girlfriend is not willing to accept your hobbies and certain aspects of your personality then you probably should not be together. In this position i would pick the game, if she really loved you she would not make you choose between a hobby that she doesn't like and herself
