For those of you who have done this method I have a question for you. If you get the free one month and agree to the monthly membership at $9.99 can you instantly cancel the auto renewal and still have the one month left? Or do you have to keep the auto renew on to have the one month. I just don't trust myself to remember to turn it off that is why I am wondering.

I clearly stated at the bottom to make sure to take auto renewal off. So yes you can immediately after or even wait the day before it renews to turn it off. Whatever you prefer doing.

Have any old Visa Gift cards?

Sometimes those work as payment options. But not always, the least you can do is try.

Also make a Paypal if not made already and try that as well.
