how do i change my ip address i have a cisco modem?

I believe to do so you would either need to change to another wifi hotspot using a different internet connection (not yours). There is a more legal way of doing it, being that you contact your I.S.P. asking to change your ip address for you, however they might charge you for doing so.

use something called hotspot shield its good it changes your ip i reccmod closing the application and and restarting it detects your new ip

Depending on who your isp is, you may be able to disconnect the modem and leave it idle for a few minutes and get a new ip.
Try this in CMD:
ipconfig /release
wait a few seconds then
ipconfig /renew
If your isp assigns a dynamic ip this should change it, however if it's static you'll have to wait for the lease to run out or contact them

Um, some ISPs actually will tell u if you restart you modem youll be assigned a new one. I have windstream and when asked they tell you to restart it and itll be assigned a new ip
