recently i have gotten back into skateboarding, but i completely forgot everything about it.... thinking of throwing a new board together but cant determine what kind of trucks/deck i want.... i would be riding vert and street (more street) since i don't have a skate park near me.

Yea people ride a ton of GIRL decks lately. I have a Baker and I'm a stoner lol but the deck says "baked". I get compliments on my board because it's not scratched up, and most skaters near me are stoners.. I rock this sweet pair of DGK truck on them. They have little eyes that are all bloodshot. Od Future is a popular skating gang and ride their own boards with like donuts on the decks, and those are popular as well. So mainly GIRL, OF, PlanB, Baker, and there's probably a few other good brands, but I stuck with those. I have a Flip board and it's bright green, no scratches and I've been trying to get rid of it for awhile now but I stopped skating and haven't really offered it to anyone yet.. You will want spitfire wheels. Well I have them and I think they're amazing. Don't really wear down when you power slide

I used to skate about 4-5 years ago and I would always stay with the same companies. :p

Deathwish deck
Redz Bearings
Thunder trucks
Mob grip (But if I still did skate, I'd get grizzly)
Diamond hardware
