Your post is an opinion, not a "rant". Just because some people did not grow up revolving around the sport "Soccer", doesn't mean they're wrong for calling it soccer. In America, the general term is "Soccer", because that's how everyone was taught to learn the sport as. It makes more sense to call it "football" because it involves a foot and a ball, but that doesn't mean everyone should call it football.

This rant is ridiculous because:
1. It generalizes anyone who does not call soccer "football", which is a lot of non-soccer fans and people who don't even like soccer.
2. Soccer fans take this kind of stuff too seriously, they all should seek a psychiatrist.
3. There's a bunch of fan-girls in this thread that target individuals that don't call soccer "football".
4. Soccer is the best sport to "you", not to everyone else so sit down.

It is the most liked/followed/loved sport on the planet. FACT. Why should anyone who is passionate about football seek a psychiatrist? Nobody is being "targeted" and I'm not making any generalisations. And it is a rant quite obviously.

If "everyone" liked soccer, it'd have 775 million more viewers according to that image.

Soccer, football, call it whatever you want. Every country has their own words/meanings for things.
