O_O Engineering could arguably be the worst gold making profession in WoW. If you want the best, do for Mining + Herbalism and roam around Jade Forest for an hour or two. If you have a good amount of gold go with JC + Mining. You can buy uncut gems and cut them into more profit or prospect ore that you farm/buy off the AH. :2thumbsup:

Is a good money maker IF you have other toons to farm the materials , dont mind waiting a month each time for sky golems and have like 40k to make a couple choppers or better yet 100k+ for making some rocket mounts XD otherwise its just bye bye gold!

as for money maker , Gathering skills, just use them otherwise try and do your weekely heroic Cata raids , your LFRs in pandaria, flex (Norm/heroic if possible with your gear but im guessing not considering your asking this )

run some old tier content and save the greens and all those lovelies as if its a niceish tmog can maybe get a few hundred gold for it on a good day , otherwise just spam up the auction house with them set for say 10~15g each as people will buy them for disenchanting and a put on when leveling

With the new expansion on the horizon. Still arguably a whiles aways. Id say your best bets are Herb and Inscription. Once Warlords hits everyone will immediately be getting their hands on Darkmoon cards. Id say go for this because you can (depending on realm) make a ton of gold off of this alone.
