All you did was take an image, and smack some yellowed, drop shadowed, 3D text on it. You may have also put some lighting into the image, but because I haven't seen the original image, I wouldn't know. You could have done so much with this. But you chose to do so little.

If you're new at it 6/10 if you've been at it a while 3/10

Keep trying because practice makes perfect.

Also the text aint drop shadowed.

Whether he is new or not should not make a difference to the rating, the image is still the same whether he has done it for years or hours.

I swear, no one understands that concept. Thank you.

And yeah, it's not "drop shadowed" it's just the shadow casting from the lighting in C4D.

It's just a basic Cinema 4D, 3D Text with a background and a shadow under the text.

Try adding more stuff to it, it looks quite boring keep up the good work though the more you do the more you improve! P.S I hope I didn't offend you as it was just constructive criticism, it is a good try though!

You both knew what I meant when I said drop shadowed text, mistyped or misspoke, whatever you want to call it. But that being said, time invested in graphics does matter. If someone has being doing it for years, the bare minimum, they shouldn't get the same rating that a person that made something that they have no experience in should get. Like, for example, Illustrated is pretty good at his work/illustrations, but if he drew something at my level of drawing (pretty poor) then he wouldn't be doing as well as he could've been, so he wouldn't get the same rating as if he had've done something to HIS level of work. Make sense?

I see what you're saying. But here's a real life example...

You walk into a design company for an interview, and show them your portfolio.
You've been doing design for years, and have tons of experience and knowledge.
Your designs look great. They're impressed.

Someone else comes in after you, who just started out.
He shows them what he can do; which isn't much.
They're not impressed.

Just because he's just starting out, doesn't make what he can do, good.
It's still bad, whether he's just starting, and learning quickly or not.

And in what you're saying, if I make something bad, then yeah it's bad.
If someone new makes something great, then yes it's great.

It has nothing to do with their experience, only the outcome.
