People on this site are querulous, hypocrites! Mainly, when it comes to Call of Duty. Honestly, why do people CONSTANTLY complain about how mad Call of Duty: Ghosts or any other Call of Duty is. People literally spend hours a day b******* about Infinity Ward adding voice overs to Ghosts and do you really think they making additions and put them out for free?! You guys of all people should know that nothing is free in life. Calling them money whores is idiotic. You people have been asking for change for YEARS then you complain when you have to pay a few dollars or whatever!? Do you expect them to give you this stuff for free?! Be glad that these games don't cost as much as it did to make them because $60 for most games are underpriced.

"OMG, I have to pay a $1.50 or $2 for an add on, FML!"

"Typical Money whores"

Honestly, people are negative and hypocritical and it's pretty stupid. Ask yourself this, if you were the owner of a big company, how do YOU make money?

If I were the owner of a game company I would make money by making the game enjoyable for people. I mean like take GTA for example, look how long it took hiests to come out I would of released them at the start of the game.

How are you going to make it enjoyable? How are you going to make additional money besides the money you get from people buying the actual game?

If a game wasn't enjoyable obviously no one would but it. They have release times and schedules of their own. They please the crowd when they launch the game not during the making and say " oh we need this done by next month because the ppl on such and such website need the game yesterday. They make their money doing what they want . If they spend all their time concentrating on what everyone wants the end result would be nothing like why they had in mind at the drawing board.

What get's irritating is this micro-transaction bs in CoD and other games. 2$ for voices or weapon skins from BO2 or extra classes. It's trying to get as much money as possible.

Personally, I would make an enjoyable game that makes people want to buy the game. And release fitting DLC.

Ex:
CoD - Map pack I'd release maybe 8 maps with variants of each one for specific game modes. And release a few "special maps" (spec ops, zombies, extinction, etc.)

I would pay 15$ for that. But 15$ for four maps and a special mission is ridiculous.

I hardly ever bought DLC that highly priced. Usually I pay 5-10$ for twice the content at least.

They usually make a profit after selling the game itself. All of the DLC is just adding to their profit.

Yes and then the people who buy the addons are contributing to the profit margin, they aren't going to reduce the price cause people think it's a rip off...

The game itself is very expensive to make, but burning it onto thousands of disks and distributing them doesn't cost nearly as much. Considering the amount of player, i'm sure if they halved the price that we pay for the game, they would still make a profit.

Look at the likes of valve? They make brilliant games, and are a profitable business. They don't rip off their customers. They work for the customers, to make games as fun as possible. They don't just try to fill their pockets. If you focus solely on making money then you acquire customers.

If you focus on making great games and treating the customers right, then you acquire LOYAL customers.

I personally lost a lot of respect for the call of duty franchise when they started releasing DLC that should have been in the game already.

I still play the games because they help relieve a bit of stress, but I am not in anyway a loyal customer of theirs. If a different FPS is released in competion with COD, i will consider that, because I'm more interested in being able to enjoy a game, not the rep of the game.

Obviously people don't care to buy the game, in game addons, and whatever else it may be. The company was created, not to make games, but make money. It doesn't really matter if people complain about the game, aslong as the company is still making money, then it doesn't matter.
