Yo, whats up guys? Here, I am going to tell you about the main thing in making youtube banners....... BLENDING! A lot of people on ttg don't blend their work. Now onto some tips!
1: Always duplicate the main image. Say you're doing a FaZe background, dupe the logo 2 times and move it to either side of the logo. Then put the opacity down until its not visible when you first look at it but after a while its noticeable. You don't always need to duplicate it btw only dupe it if it makes your background better.
2: Use Colour Corrections! CC's can be downloaded all over YouTube and are very helpful. All backgrounds must have a CC! You don't need one but most of the time it will make your banner look a lot better. ( I have 5 cc's for sale right now pm me if you want them )
3: Put the opacity down. When people make backgrounds and use textures and other things they leave the opacity on 100% and tbh it looks disgusting. You will never get far doing that.
4: DON'T use templates! Never use templates, no one will want your work and clans will say you don't have any skills to make any backgrounds by yourself. It is a good place to learn new skills but whenever you make a background don't just grind it straight off the template, you can use some effects but also some of your own. It's all about creativity and personalisation! Not just the same old.
5: Apply the Gaussian Blur effect when needed. This effect can be very useful in a lot of 3D situations! Here is an example of when I used it in one of my backgrounds: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Hope you liked these tips. There are a lot more but I don't want to tell you everything because then when you find them out you will be amazed! These are also tips for 3D designers NOT 2D! If you want to look at some examples of backgrounds my portfolio is right here: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] There are a lot better backgrounds out nowadays and I quit making graphics sometime last year. Also, I do not think I was a good designer back in the day, these are some tips that just helped me out. Thanks for reading and hopefully one day you will become a professional graphics designer !

1. Always duplicate? No.
- You do not ALWAYS need to duplicate a layer.

2. You don't always need to use CC's.
- It depends on what style you're doing.

3. True. A lot of people don't use the opacity and it makes it look 'clashy'.
- However, I've made banners before and never touched opacity. (2D Banners)

4. Templates are a really good building block.
- They make you get used to layer structuring; sometimes they show you some creative work.

5. Some blurs are needed, some aren't.
- Again, it depends on what style you're doing, it's nice to have some depth of field when creating 3D work, but don't slap on a Gaussian blur just because, give it some use; mainly to emphasis something.

I would also like to know what you think a "professional graphics designer" in-tales.
Some good tips, again - It depends on the style, experiment. Never follow the same guidelines, switch it up. People want their banners to be unique, not have all the same assets and effects.
Don't get me wrong, I like your work, you're very talented!

Sorry not trying to be mean but this is not what you do. This is what you do if you are someone that thinks you are good at graphics and you just follow the herd and never make anything creative.

u got some nice things there but I was mainly talking about the improving points I see in the graphics section. It's not for big shots just the beginners. I don't expect them to use everything I wrote

I honestly Hate 3D work because most of the time its too dark and you can barely see it.

Don't mean to be harsh but;
You seem a little...
Arrogant?

You're far from a 'professional graphics designer' - so am I.
Also, what CRITICAL- said is spot on, you don't do this for EVERY banner you make.
Even if you make 3D banners, they don't need to look all the same.

Every banner you've made, is similar, this is bad, I'm not one to judge as I'm not the best Graphics Designer, but I sure know that they're all the same.

EDIT: CRITICAL-, not all 3D work is dark x'D Just this 'Clan' style.

I never actually said I was a professional designer...... I said I hope people who read this will be. I will never be a professional designer and the only backgrounds I used to make was the 'Clan' style lol.

You could also watch video tuts on GFX designs and generate some ideas. Put some ideas together take some out, just work with what you know. And then play around with pretty much everything. Soon you'll develop some pretty cool and unique work!
