Well Baseball fans, opening day is finally here! No more sitting back trying to figure out what you are going to do on a day to day basis, because your teams are back! . No, but in all seriousness I'm extremely happy Baseball is finally back and it kicks off with the Dodgers once again getting a shot at shooting up to a 3-0 record early.

I want to really talk about the injuries that I've heard or seen recently that could potentially damage a team a little bit. So first off, in the AL West, a lot of things have gone on that could potentially give another team the edge on them. Oaklands ace Jarrod Parker is out for the entire season because of Tommy John surgery, Texas does not have their pitcher Derek Holland because he is out with knee surgery, Jurickson Profar has a shoulder muscle tear which is a shame because he had a great spring training, catcher Geovani Soto has an issue with his knee which could cause him to be out for awhile, Yu Darvish, their ace, is also having to back out of opening day with a stiff neck which could potentially be a big hit to Texas, and last but not least Matt Harrison, he has a herniated disk, lower back and is out of commission. As you can see 95% of the injuries have been to the biggest competitor in the AL West, the Texas Rangers. Last year it was the Angels who were hit with all these injuries but now Texas has to face the issues.

For the NL, I havent heard to much but there is one that struck me as being surprising! So first off, CY Young winner Clayton Kershaw will not be able to pitch opening day. He claims he felt something hurting in his upper back which could definately lead to bigger issues if he didnt tend to it now. Hyun-Jin Ryu gets the start for opening day 3/30/14 at 5:05 PST start time at Petco Park vs the Padres Andrew Cashner. For another possible AL related issue, Shane Victorino has gotten an MRI on his right hamstring and is also said his opening day status is unknown. Back to the AL West, the Mariners have officially started Hisashi Iwakuma, Taijun Walker, and Stephen Pryor, all names in which were expected to do good things for the club, on the disabled list.
Jose Bautista, the explosive player from Toronto, was recently scratched from the lineup on his final spring game after he hit is sixth homerun that game. He should be back for opening day but we will just have to find out.

Those are just some of the injuries going around the AL and some NL that I have seen that I haven taken note of. I wanted to ask you guys some questions about this years baseball as well!

1) What are you looking forward most this year?
My Answer: Im looking forward to seeing the Angels move up a couple spots out of third and hopefully making it to the playoffs.

2) Any particular player your looking forward to watching?
My Answer: Im looking forward to watching Pujols, after him missing nearly 2 and a half quarters of the season last year it was a shame. But this spring he has looked like absolute dynamite. He has been making diving plays and even hit his first triple in an Angels Jersey!

First 2014 Divisional Game:
Dodgers @ Padres
Petco Park
5:05 PST Start Time
Hyun-Jin Ryu #99 - Andrew Cashner #34

I'm looking forward to seeing how the Red Sox do after winning the World Series. I am ready to see how the Yankees, Dodgers, Angels and Pirates do.

I want to see how all the prospects play. Xander Bogaerts, Oscar Tavares, and maybe even Zach Lee will be playing this season. I also hope Matt Kemp does amazing when he comes back, followed by Ryan Braun just fading away from the game.

I'm looking forward to an explosive Rays pitching team this season, with aces David Price, Chris Archer, Matt Moore, and Alex Cobb there are unsurmountable achievements to be accomplished this season! The biggest of them all is that we're favorites to be the 2014 World Series CHAMPS!
I can't wait to see my 2nd cousin play (James Loney) along with Evan Longoria and Wil Myers!
Good luck to all other ball clubs this season
