Some PlayStation fans have been able to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s beta for a couple of days now, with the open beta being available from October 8 to 10. Gamers on Xbox and PC can play the beta for Modern Warfare 3 from October 12 to 13, and it will be available to all users across all platforms from October 14 to 16. Now, it looks like Battle Rage was extremely overpowered in Modern Warfare 3’s beta, as the development team has already nerfed it.
As confirmed by Sledgehammer Games, balance adjustments to Battle Rage are now live in the beta for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, including some heavy nerfs that drastically impact the effectiveness of this equipment. For starters, the maximum duration has been reduced from ten to 6 seconds, with kills no longer increasing the duration of this effect. Health regeneration will now begin upon killing enemy players, while taking damage will interrupt this regeneration process. Finally, this balance change has removed the increase to health regeneration speed, as the development team will continue to monitor Battle Rage’s effectiveness throughout the beta period.

One Modern Warfare 3 video shows how overpowered Battle Rage was before this update, as a player named Vesyrione uploaded a clip of their experience on Reddit. In the video, the user was consistently shooting an opposing player only for Battle Rage to deny them a kill, allowing the other user to turn around and quickly take out Vesyrione.
Battle Rage is totally nerfed.
