Mortal Kombat 1 Won’t Feature Cross-Play At Launch

4
NetherRealm Studios has clarified an important point for Mortal Kombat 1 as its release is now only days away, that being the game won’t support cross-play between platforms at launch.

However that doesn’t mean it won’t ever have cross-play, as NetherRealm is indeed working on the feature, and it will be arriving sometime after the game has launched.

“Launch is just around the corner and we can’t wait for everyone to sink their teeth into MK1.” said NetherRealm through the game’s official Twitter account.

“Regarding Kross-Play, it will not be available at launch, but know we are hard at work at implementing the feature into the game and it will be koming post launch.”

NetherRealm doesn’t provide any kind of time window as to when we can expect to see cross-play supported, though hopefully such a feature that’s truly key for a fighting game won’t go unsupported for too long.

that sucks, but it will be added not long after, which is a relief

Hope it comes to it soon enough

Doesn't really matter there's plenty of players on each platform as it is for these games

Bummer that it won't feature cross play at launch, guess we'll have to be a little patient!

That is actually sad. Most next gen if not all next gen games with multiplayer should feature this.. I mean come on. Tired of the wall up so you cant play with your friends if they dont have the same console
