What if at the start of Skyrim, upon walking into the first village you found, you decided to settle down and become a farmer? What if going off to battle foes and monsters didn’t sound like the life for you?

Mirthwood allows you to decide what you want to do with your time in its lush, fantasy world - which looks straight out of an illustrated children's fantasy book. Developed by a small two-man team in the Pacific Northwest, Mirthwood looks to take a life sim approach to the fantasy RPG genre.

Your choices matter in Mirthwood, and you’re in charge of your own destiny.

“Will you settle a new homestead to live a life of farming and trade, or pick up the sword and take the adventurer's path?”

You can choose to nurture a homestead, where you can build and upgrade facilities while you grow and harvest crops while you tend to your animals. Exploring the world, setting off on quests and encountering dynamic events and enemies in the search to uncover mysteries.

The game also has a variety of NPC’s for you to befriend or antagonize and new social interactions will unlock as you further these relationships.

Mirthwood is expected to be released sometime in 2024, though no official release date has been announced. The developers have confirmed that the game is slated to be released for PC through Steam.
