Microsoft has confirmed four games that are leaving the Xbox Game Pass subscription service on August 15. Xbox Game Pass subscribers know by now that Microsoft removes games from the Game Pass lineup at the end of the month and on the 15th of every month.

This means that Microsoft just recently removed a batch of games from Xbox Game Pass, with 5 titles getting the boot to close out July 2023. The good news is that Xbox Game Pass subscribers have 2 weeks notice to play the games leaving Xbox Game Pass on August 15, so they can prioritize them over other titles if they so desire. Not only that, but as always, the games are available at a 20% discount while they're still on Game Pass. So even if one starts one of the games that are leaving and fails to finish it before it gets the boot, it can at least be picked up for less than the usual asking price.

In any case, the four games leaving Xbox Game Pass on August 15 are Death Stranding, Edge of Eternity, Midnight Fight Express, and Total War: Warhammer 3. Whereas Edge of Eternity and Midnight Fight Express were originally released for Game Pass across the cloud, consoles, and PC, Death Stranding and Total War: Warhammer 3 were only ever available to PC gamers. PC Game Pass is available as a standalone tier of the service, but it also comes bundled with console Game Pass to those that are signed up for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Midnight Fight Express (Cloud/Consoles/PC) - August 15
Total War: Warhammer 3 (PC) - August 15

Two weeks should be enough time to get through some of these games. Death Stranding is a fairly long game, but as long as one plays a decent amount each day, they should be able to get to the end credits before it's yanked from the service. Edge of Eternity and Total War: Warhammer 3 have similar playtimes as Death Stranding, whereas Midnight Fight Express is rather short and can be completed in a little over five hours.

As for which game subscribers should prioritize, Total War: Warhammer 3 has the best reviews out of the bunch. Edge of Eternity earned mostly negative reviews from critics, whereas the reception to Midnight Fight Express was somewhat mixed. Death Stranding is incredibly divisive, so maybe subscribers should make sure to play it while it's still on PC Game Pass to see if it's something they'd enjoy.
