Persona 6 Leaker Gives Update on the Game

A well-known Persona 6 leaker has shared another update regarding the rumored in-development JRPG, along with describing Atlus' current focus about its games. Persona 6 has been rumored for years. Despite that, there's been little concrete evidence to suggest that the game exists. One reliable leaker who has been rather communicative with fans in the past few months has been accurate in her statements, especially when it comes to current projects in development at Atlus.

This leaker is known as MbKKssTBhz5 on Twitter, aka Midori, who has accurately shared information about Atlus games in the past. She had confirmed the existence of a Persona 3 remake and a Persona 5 tactical RPG spin-off before they were officially announced. She has also been sharing information about Persona 6 thanks to apparent connections with Atlus. Midori has given fans another update about the sixth game, along with what is currently in development at Atlus.

According to Midori, Atlus isn't working on another remake in the same scale or vein as the upcoming Persona 3 Reload releasing in 2024. That being said, she says there are four Persona games in total that are being developed right now, with the main priority being the rumored Persona 6. Alongside the Persona 3 remake and Persona 6, Atlus is also working on Persona 5: The Phantom X, which was announced earlier this year, along with Persona Asa.

Midori's previous leak regarding Persona Asa states that it is a crossover between all five numbered games, with an apparent release window of Q3 2024. She also drops an interesting bombshell regarding Atlus' plans, stating that there was a Persona fighting game in development for "a long time" as well. When asked for clarification about the "was" part, she states that the game was in and out of development for a long time, citing the partner studio Atlus was teaming up with to be very busy with other obligations.

Midori's leak regarding Persona 6's release window claims the game is slated for release sometime within the next three years, with Atlus also planning to officially announce it in 2024. The "Asa" spin-off will supposedly also be announced within the same time frame as well.
