Over the course of its life, GTA Online has been steadily improved by developer Rockstar, as the studio has slowly been adding new content, quality of life improvements, and much, much more. For example, two rather popular changes introduced in the recent San Andreas Mercenaries update which dropped earlier today include an alternative sprinting method that won't destroy your thumbs, and some outfits worn by GTA protagonists from the older games.

However, it seems like this update may have actually removed a lot more content than it's added, as over 180 cars and motorcycles have been removed from in-game stores, making them impossible to purchase and use unless you already own them (thanks Kotaku). Rockstar told players earlier this month that it would be removing some of the "lesser-used" vehicles from GTA Online, but the actual total of 189 is a lot more than what fans were expecting to see get the chop.

A full list of the vehicles that have been removed has been put together by u/PapaXan on the GTA Online subreddit, with hundreds of other users making their anger known. Several users are criticising Rockstar for removing several well-liked vehicles, including the Comet Retro Custom, the Infernus, and the GP1. Others question why Rockstar didn't simply add a bunch of different car stores to spread them all out, while others have claimed that the move is "disgusting" and predatory.

To make matter even worse, it's also been reported that certain vehicles that have been removed have now popped up at the Vinewood Car Club, a location that allows GTA+ members to choose and drive a variety of different vehicles. GTA+ is a subscription service with a number of different perks for members, which suggests that Rockstar has removed some "lesser-used" vehicles and paywalled them behind the game's subcription service.

In other GTA news, an insider made several claims regarding GTA 6 earlier this week, including the claim that a part of the game will take place in Cuba as well as Vice City. Tyler McVicker also stated that GTA 6 will feature a Bonnie & Clyde-esque story involving the drug trade, as well as a potential release window of 2024.

In fact, this is actually backed up by Rockstar itself, as it's projecting its next fiscal year will be absolutely massive, suggesting it has a big game like GTA 6 waiting in the wings or close to completion. As for when Rockstar will actually announce a release dtae, your guess is as good as mine.
