Independent AA developer Rockfish Games has finally announced the much-anticipated release date for EVERSPACE 2. The long-in-development title will launch out of early access on April 6 for PC players. Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 versions will launch sometime this summer, but a solid release date has yet to be confirmed.

In a recently released two-minute story trailer, we see the single-player RPG shooter's ambitious story packed with plenty of content to set the stage for players. More importantly, the footage shows starship gameplay across unfavorable alien planets. As Adam, players will have to navigate the DMZ, solve the puzzles, and overcome the different factions they encounter.

The trailer cutscenes show Adam teaming up with other characters and traversing the dreaded world of EVERSPACE 2. The barren desert lush and planets are clear in the trailer as well as the spaceships roving amidst pitched laser battles. Be sure to check out the new EVERSPACE 2 story trailer below.



EVERSPACE 2 has been in early access for two good years, as it debuted in January 2021. Despite the issues associated with early access games, EVERSPACE 2 was more enjoyable, and fans acclaimed the top-notch display quality. Luckily those who've been holding off on the game have about two months to go.

The April 6 release date is within the early 2023 window Rockfish Games promised on January 2021. In the meantime, the game seems to fair well among players, with an 87% positive score from over 5,000 Steam reviews.

Rockfish Games is reportedly planning to add an awful lot to the game once it leaves early access later this year. Some of the elements to expect include another start system, another companion, a new trading map, new boss fights, customization options, polished cinematic, and more enemies. The significant number of additional elements is better reflected in the upcoming game prices. The game currently retails at $39.99, but Rockfish Games has already indicated that it will review this to $49.99 on February 20, 2023.

You can check out EVERSPACE 2 right now on PC via Microsoft Store, GOG.com, and Steam. The game is currently available in twelve languages: English, Spanish, Korean, Polish, Italian, Japanese, German, French, Czech, Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese, and Russian.
