Forza Horizon 5 Update Will Add Enhanced Ray Tracing Reflections

A new update for the PC version of Forza Horizon 5 will be deployed on Tuesday, November 8th, which aims to boost framerates via NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution or AMD FSR 2, enhance DirectX ray tracing with two new presets, and much more.

The patch was confirmed by the official Forza Support Twitter account, with a short statement reading, "The next Forza Horizon 5 update releases Tues. Nov. 8 with new PC features like NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution, NVIDIA DLAA, AMD FSR 2 and improved DirectX Raytracing for car reflections".

The studio also published a full FAQ surrounding the new update, detailing all of the new features and changes that would be released with Tuesday's patch. According to Playground Games, the developers behind Forza Horizon 5, two new presets will be made available in the update: Ultra and Extreme, which render true-to-life reflections for the player car in Free Roam and Races, as well as realistic Drivatar reflections in Photo Mode.


Also included in the upcoming patch is new graphical options for PC users. "We have refreshed the Video options to allow further customization and improvements to the anti-aliasing of the game", Playground Games said in their FAQ post. The new raytracing options can be enabled by navigating to the video options submenu under the following categories:

Resolution Scaling
AMD FidelityFX CAS
AMD FSR 2
NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution

Anti-Aliasing
TAA
NVIDIA DLAA
FXAA
MSAA

Some of the cars look good in forza I just don't think the game is that good
