Xbox Game Pass Confirms New Day One Game for September 2022

3.8
One of the biggest reasons to subscribe to the Xbox Game Pass service is access to over a hundred of games at no additional cost, outside the subscription fee. While the service does allow for the enjoyment of older games as well, the Xbox Game Pass is bringing yet another day one game to its library in September.

The Xbox Game Pass allows subscribers to access a lot of different video games on Xbox and PC. Some of these games are Microsoft staples, like the Gears of War and Halo series, while others are more obscure like the samurai side-scroller Trek to Yomi. After adding in games to the service in August, like Ghost Recon: Wildlands, and more to come this month, like Immortality, a game has been confirmed to be coming day one to Xbox Game Pass in just a few short weeks.

Train Sim World 3 will be pulling into the Xbox Game Pass station on September 6. Train Sim World 3, as the name implies, is a train simulator game that will be available on Xbox Game Pass the same day it is released on every other platform. The game will feature three new routes to simulate train transportation, a new dynamic weather system, and more detailed features, like passengers changing clothes based on the current weather and season. According to the developers, all routes currently playable in Train Sim World 2 will be playable in this new game.

Train Sim World 3 was announced on August 9, 2022, with the game becoming playable on September 2. The game adds to the ever-growing popularity and library of simulator games in which the player "simulates" what it is like to be someone or do certain things. In this case, what it is like to operate a traditional train car with passengers and freight. The roughly one minute trailer shows off some new features implemented in this new entry in the series, with a brief look at the dynamic weather system: snow covers the ground and continues to come down as the train moves towards its destination, rain pours from the sky, and some of the trains are moving through bright, sunny days.

While simulators are not everyone's gaming preference, they have become more mainstream with releases such as Goat Simulator 2 (which is getting a sequel in November 2022), PowerWash Simulator, and even Gas Station Simulator. With some of these simulator games, like the original Goat Simulator, already being available on Xbox Game Pass, it seems like Train World Sim 3 will fit in just fine.

Train World Sim 3 will be available on September 6, 2022, with the game being playable early on September 2, for those that pre-order the game.

Always wanted to control a train for hours on end :D

For a train Sim game seems pretty boring.

Are you serious? Dead game that very few will actually play. They need to start adding some big titles sooner or later, just seems like they're doing the same as Xbox gold. Make it look good for a while, then stopped after people bought extended yearly subscriptions.
