Someone Has Found a Game Mode Hidden Away in Mario Kart Wii’s Code
The mission mode would task players with completing certain objectives on various maps, whether that would be breaking item boxes, grinding in your car or bike, collecting coins, or more. There’s no indication of how many different mission types the game would’ve offered had the mode been completed.
Below you can check out the video where MrBean goes directly into the gamemode to show you some of the cool things that could’ve been. Some things are obviously incomplete.
If you want to break into Mario Kart Wii’s code, you better start hunting down some A/V cables for your old Wii.
In other Mario Kart news, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was the first big Nintendo exclusive to arrive on Nintendo Switch in late April, after Zelda at launch. Towards the end of last month Nintendo announced strong financial results from all of its Switch titles, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was a standout with 3.54 million units worldwide.
Also, Bandai Namco has partnered with Nintendo to bring Mario Kart Arcade GP VR to their upcoming VR center in Japan this month. The game will use the HTC Vive. I imagine Mario Kart gets a lot more personal in VR.
The latest Mario Kart game, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, is available on the Nintendo Switch now.
