The game, which will include the base version of Horizon Forbidden West as well as The Burning Shore expansion was shown off in a new trailer by Nvidia as part of CES 2024.
In the trailer, it was confirmed that the game will support the Deep Learning Super Sampling technology, which can be used to improve the frame rate of certain games, using 40 series Nvidia GPUs.
While no release date was given for the PC version of the game, the Steam page for Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition lists 2024 as a tentative release window.
Developed by Nixxes, the team behind many of Sony‘s recent PC ports, the PC version of the game will also support DLAA and Nvidia’s Reflex technology.
Several screenshots of the PC version of the game have been released alongside the announcement trailer.
Horizon Forbidden West was released for PS4 and PS5 in February 2022 and had sold 8.4 million copies by the middle of April 2023, according to developer Guerrilla.
It sees series protagonist Aloy racing to save the planet’s crumbling biosphere before vicious storms and a mysterious plant disease ravage humanity.
The Burning Shores expansion, which wasn’t released for PS4, sees machine hunter Aloy travel to the ruins of Los Angeles in order to track down information about the ancient progenitor race that she battled in the main game.
Guerrilla is currently working on an online project set in the Horizon universe and has also promised more “epic solo adventures” starring Aloy.
