A video was posted by Vicarious Visions artist Kara Zisa showing off new footage from the game – including some interesting prompts that suggest using an Xbox One controller. Of course, the PS4 doesn’t support Xbox One controllers, so this would suggest that the game is coming to other platforms, namely the Xbox One and possibly PC.
The video has since been taken down, but some eagle-eyed viewers have noticed the prompts, and, yep, it looks all but official at this point. But considering the video’s gone, we’re still going to take the rumor with a grain of salt.
Previously, the Hungarian retailer had listed the Xbox One version of the game to arrive on December 8th, 2017, which would make sense from an Activision business standpoint. It would capitalize on holiday sales while, at the same time, giving Crash a strong exclusivity window on the PlayStation 4, with die-hard Sony lovers enjoying the game for a few months in advance. And it wouldn’t hurt Activision’s holiday sales either, coupled with the likes of Destiny 2 and Call of Duty: WWII.
For now, though, the publisher is staying pretty mum, though we could hear something later in August with Gamescom rolling around. We’ll let you know once the company makes anything official, so Xbox owners can get their own Crash runs going.
