Team Player :
You killed 5 opposing team members.
Set up a Team Deathmatch and make sure there are at least 5 opposing players. When the match gets underway, concentrate on killing each different player. You will NOT get this trophy for 5 kills on the same person, it HAS to be 5 different people. It may take you a few tries but you will get it with time. Try hosting a public Team Deatmatch and setting the timer for longer to increase your chances if you are struggling.
Cut Your Teeth :
You were successfully promoted up a rank in multiplayer.
Play any multiplayer game mode and earn $1000 cumulative. This will promote you to rank 1 and the trophy will be unlocked.
Join The Midnight Club :
You won a multiplayer race without damaging your vehicle too much.
To win a multiplayer race without taking too much damage, choose the race 'Drag Kings' and set to 1 lap. This race is a flat out sprint for the most part, with only a few neat turns to have the track come back on itself. Be careful through the turns and you should be fine.
Fly The Co-Op :
You completed "Deal Breaker, "Hangmans NOOSE" and "Bomb Da Base II" in time.
The times you need to beat are as follows :
Hangman's NOOSE - 2:32
Deal Breaker - 7:03
Bomb Da Base II - 5:34
These game modes are all co-op based and require the team to clear all objectives under the times stated. You will find that it helps to have the lobby settings just right before trying to get under the times. Here's how you should ideally have the settings :
Hangman's NOOSE
Weather - Clear
Time - Midday
Difficulty - Easy
Bomb Da Base
Weather - Clear
Time - Midday
Difficulty - Easy
Traffic - Parked
Deal Breaker
Time - Midday
Weather - Clear
Difficulty - Hard
Traffic - Parked
Padestrians - Off
There are many videos that show methods of completing these games, but they are all only ever from one persons perspective, never showing what the other people are doing. It is recommended you view some video's at least to become familiar with the layout and general strategy, but below is a guide for all parties taking part and what is required of their roles :
Hangman's NOOSE
This is best done with 2 or 3 people. Have all but one player shooting NOOSE while a designated pilot grabs the baggage tug just to the right of the baggage trolleys where you begin and hares it round the runway, hanging a left past the parked up plane, and down to the far side of the runway to the NOOSE Annihilator choppers. Pilot steals an Annihilator and flies back to where you started and lands in the yellow marker that appears as soon as the shooters have killed 15 NOOSE between them. At this point, Kenny will exit the plane and run for the heli. The shooters must cover Kenny until he boards the heli, then each get on the chopper themselves. The pilot then flies the whole gang back to the marker on the map to finish the game - you can crash land the heli to save time on your landing just as long as you hit the marker. If doing this with 4 people, have 2 people get on the tug at the start and have 1 guy take the second Annihilator straight to the end zone and waiting there the entire game.
Bomb Da Base II
This mission is easier the more people there is, but the method is always the same. First thing to mention is your first target, a security truck, spawns randomly in 1 of a possible 3 locations. If it spawns in North East Algonquin, restart the game, as the time required is simply not achieveable. The other 2 spawning points are OK. Once you catch the security van and its escorts, try to take care of the escorts asap but dont get hung up on them, one heavy sweep of each car will do. Then simply gun the security van til it stops. Have 1 guy jump out, shoot the driver who gets out, and jack the van. Everyone then drives to the marker on the map. For the next part, Kenny sends you a chopper. Have a good pilot take you to the ship as quick as possible and approach the back end of the ship. The pilot perches on the back of the ship and all but the pilot gets out. Pilot takes the chopper up, hovers just above the roof and jumps out of the chopper. Immediately drop down a level to land just outside the hulls control room and shoot the guys there. Run in to plant the top bomb. Meanwhile, the guys that got out on the ships deck should be trying to get down into the hull asap. There is a glitch that allows people to 'fall through the floor' and land in the hull, so simply for this trophy purposes, try to do this. Once down there, plant the bomb, select a grenade, drop it, and blow yourself up. With both bombs now planted, have everyone get off the ship and onto the dock asap to finish the mission.
Deal Breaker
This is the hardest to achieve of the 3 games and is so varied in its methods that there is no best method like the above games. What I can say is that it is easier with the less amount of people taking part, yet they need to do alot more. The following is on the premise that this is a 2 man game. Of all the methods used, it is essential to use the helicopter on the helipad in North Alderney not far from your starting point. Any youtube video showing Deal Breaker will show how to quickly get to this helicopter. Have the pilot fly you to the roof of the structure and land to let the passenger out. Pilot will fly to ground level being careful to park the helicopter, and clear all enemies on the ground floor and collecting any packages. Once clear, start working your way up the floors killing enemies and collecting packages as you go. The man who got out on the roof will work downwards clearing floor by floor any enemies and collecting any dropped packages. Be sure to collect a rocket launcher, there's one on the sixth floor and one on the fourth floor. When all enemies are cleared and packages collected, the Angels of Death will be your next target. Get to the chopper asap and chase them down. Land on a stretch of road ahead of them and rocket launcher them. If it is the boat, blow the boat up from the corner of the pier as it comes towards you with a rocket. When the Angels of Death are gone, have pilot return you to the marker on the map and enter Pegorrino's garage to end the mission.
Taking It For The Team :
You were on the winning team in all multiplayer team games.
This trophy requires you to win in at least once in all team games. The team games are :
Team Mafiya Work
Team Deathmatch
Team Car Jack City
Cops' N Crooks (each side)
Turf War
Top Of The Food Chain :
You successfully killed 20 players with a pistol in a deathmatch.
Host a Deathmatch and choose the max amount of time to ensure you get the best opportunity and choose a small map like Happiness Island, and naturally, select pistols only for the weapons. Now simply gun down 20 people and the trophy is yours.
Wanted :
You achieved the highest personal rank possible in multiplayer.
For this trophy, you need to earn $5 million. Everything you do in multiplayer will earn you money, and will vary in amount depending on your performance. There are no tricks or fast and clever methods to get to Rank 10, you will need to invest alot of time and patience into this one. It is generally understood that the fastest way to get to $5m is to grind Hangman's NOOSE. Find 2 other people to form a team and work off the money as a unit. Each player will bank a standard $4,500 per round, with shooters earning a little bit more if they run around collecting the money dropped by dead NOOSE officers. Not only does this mean you are avoiding most of the random people who just mess around, but you can get on well with the people you play with. Its best to get a base of 4-8 people all willing to grind with you to make sure there are plenty friends online at any one time.
Auf Wiedersehen Petrovic :
You won in all variations of multiplayer games.
This trophy has problems. Some swear blind it is glitched, some are adamant it isn't. I would say it is buggy, and requires a great deal of care to be unlocked. The servers which record multiplayer stats is very poor, and can often not record wins or games, yet they will show as completed in your in game stats and even Rockstar's social club.
The term 'winning' can be defined by the following, taken from Rockstar's support site :
"you must have:
The highest point total at the end of the game for all points based games
Achieved the best race time (at the end of the race) for all Race tracks (including Helicopter races, Boat races, Free races, and Cannonball Runs)
Achieved the best race time (at the end of the race) for all GTA Race tracks (including Helicopter races, Boat races, Free races, and Cannonball Runs) . This can be done in stages, so remember where you left off before starting your next session.
Let Sleeping Rockstars Lie :
You killed a Rockstar in multiplayer.
This is a viral trophy and is actually harder to avoid than it is to unlock. The requirement is to kill anyone in multiplayer that has this trophy unlocked, thus unlocking it for you. It will be a minor miracle if you dont unlock this, yet every other online trophy, so pay no attention to it as it will come naturally.
Taking A Liberty :
Sorry for taking liberties with your time.
This is the platinum trophy, If you have followed my Campaign and Multiplayer trophy guide you should unlock this.
