[1] Open Disk Utility
[2] Click "New Image"
[3] Name the .DMG file
[4] Name the disk image
[5] Select a file size
[6] Select 128-bit encryption
[7] Select "sparse disk image"
[8] Click "Create"
[9] Enter a password
[10] Untick "remember password in my keychain"
[11] Drag files into the disk image and delete the originals
[12] Unmount (eject) the disk image
[13] To see your files again, open the .DMG file and enter your password.
