In this tutorial, I will show you how to download items from Xbox Live Marketplace that you normally can't download because the download is region locked. There are a couple of things that you will need.

Heres A Video To Understand It Well :



Requirements:

1. Xbox 360
2. Xbox Live Account (Gold or Silver)
3. A computer that is relatively close to you Xbox and has acces to the internet.(I am using Windows Vista)
4. 1 Ethernet Cable pluged into you computer and 360.



Here we go.

Step 1. Go to this site [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and register with a trial account.

Step 2. The only things that need to be real information are the username, password, and email. (You just need the email to confirm the account).

Step 3. Now log into the account on the MacroVPN site and activate your account by going to your email and get the registration code to enter at the web site.

The next steps are for Vista users, it should be similar in XP though.

Step 4. Goto Start--ConnectTo and select Set up a connection or network.

Step 5. Scroll to the bottom and select Connect to a workplace for the next option select Use my Internet connection (VPN).

Step 6. In the internet address use an ip address from your User Details on the MacroVPN website. (I will use a US server) For the destination name choose FLASHVPN (Yes all caps). And check teh bottom two boxes.

Step 7. Now type in your username and password you used for the account you created at MacroVPN. (Leave Domain blank). Then click Create.
You are now basically set. Now here is how to test wether or not it works.

Step 8. Now open up a web browser and goto [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and remember the ip address it gives you.(That is your ip address).

Step 9. Goto Start--Control Panel--Network and Internet-- Network and Sharing Center--Manage Network Connections

Step 10. There you should look for your FlashVPN that you created, then right click it an click connect.

Step 11. Now refresh [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and the number should be differnt. If it isn't you might want to retry or send me a message and I will try to help.

Now that we have the computer's internet running through a VPN in the states, we can share that connection with our Xbox 360, heres how.


Step 12. Go back to Start--Control Panel--Network and ternet--Network and Sharing Center--Manage Network Connections

Step 13. Make sure your Xbox is connected to your PC, via the ethernet cable.

Step 14. Now rightclick the FlashVPN and select properties. And then goto the sharing tab.

Step 15.In the sharing tab select tick the top and bottom boxes. And for the Home Networking Connection choose the LAN that your Xbox is connected to. (You can figure this out by turning on you 360 and watching which LAN says it is now connected)

Step 16. Turn on your xbox and try to log in, if it works then your are connected to the VPN and can download whatever you want.




IMPORTANT ADVICE!!!!!!!!!

The MacroVPN trial has a two gigabyte download limit, so if your Xbox download is bigger than two gigabytes it won't work. Unless....

You can goto [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] with the VPN enabled and sign into xbox live and add the download to your queue. Then disable the VPN and/or connect your xbox to the internet the way you normally do, and let it download to your xbox and it will get to around 98% and then say you can't download this is when you follow steps 12-16 and resume the download so you only use a small portion of your trail to download the 2%, plus it is faster than using the VPN the entire time.
