The Xbox 360 video game console is popular because of its stellar graphics and the ability to connect to the Internet. These are great features, but they are all pretty useless if you can't put a game disk in the console. If the disk tray on your game console is broken or not opening, you may be thinking about buying a whole new system. Even if you don't have the money to take your Xbox to a technician, there is no need to toss it out because you can actually fix the tray yourself.

1 of 3
Power on your Xbox 360 and locate the disk drive on the left side of the front of the device. Press the eject button and hold it down for a few seconds. If this doesn't fix the problem then proceed to Step 2.

2 of 3
Tap the top of your Xbox firmly with a closed hand three or four times. This method works to solve any loose connection issues. If your tray is still not functioning after this attempt then proceed to Step 3.

3 of 3
Locate the small circular hole just under the right side of the disk drive. Insert the tip of a toothpick in the hole and press in firmly. At this point your disk tray will pop out and be working as good as new.

Step 1 should work with any console? As all your doing is opening the disk tray?
Step 2 works if your drives belt isnt quite catching.
Step 3 Havent tried, but you might want to mention to take the faceplate off first :)
