Receive both endings.
Once you reach the final boss you should save your game right away to reload it later, if you don't do this it might take you awhile to get back to the boss from your previous save.
After your first battle with the boss, open the cage and save the girl. Next, reload your last save and defeat the boss yet again, this time let the lady drown and not save her.
