As Infected was implemented into the community playlist on Modern Warfare 3 and drop zone was taken out, I have a simple tip that will have you not getting infected online. This tip only works on certain maps, however it could be crucial.
Instructions
1. Whatever map you are playing, make sure you have a brief knowledge on things that you climb up (e.g. ladders)
2. When the countdown starts, run to the nearest ladder and stay on it.
3. Once the countdown reaches zero, you will not be chosen as an infected.
4. Play as a survivor until you get killed by an Infected.
This works on any maps with ladders, just as long as you can get there before the timer gets you. This is somewhat a glitch you could say but it's definitely fun to pull off, especially in a private match and amaze your friends.

You_All_Suck doesnt work anymore, i did it on dome, jump on the ladder and wait till the countdown is over, after the countdown was over, no one got infected i stay 5mins on the ladder and move up and down and then i jumped off the ladder and boom im infected
Wow, I wonder what those people in your game were thinking though, hah. Just runnin around the map trying to find that infected person! xD

This glitch doesn't prevent you from being infected, it pretty much postpones it. As long as you are on the ladder you cant be infected even though the game already chose you, so once you get off your infected. I'm not quite sure but you might be able to stay on the ladder the whole game and your team wins. Also, I found that holding a claymore prevents you from being chosen at all. Just hold the deploy button RB until after 'Infected Countdown' finished and you shouldn't be chosen. Its not confirmed but I have played over 50 games doing this and so far I haven't been infected.

Bic this isn't a glitch. and it picks the person who moves the most. next time you play infected just pause it and watch the person who moves first.it doesnt pick the person who moves the most because ive been in tons of games where the first infected guy is afk so your way is not right

yesterday, me and my friend was playing Infected, the map starts and it was Dome, and before the countdown was down to 0, just me and my friend were on top of the Dome and he got still Infected !
so STOP posting this ****, when it doesn't work ! -.-
You are both supposed to stay on the ladder. Just stay on the ladder and when you get off someone else will be infected instead of you.

Well, its an exploit in the games code, so its a glitch. It IS a GLITCH!
