Call of Duty WW2 - Flyboy Trophy / Achievement Guide - Protect the bombers by personally shooting down 12 enemy planes in Battle of the Bulge. [Bronze]

Mission 9: Battle of the Bulge
Objective: Call for Air Support

In mission 9 you will be flying an attack plane and have to protect your allied bombers by shooting down enemy planes. In total there are two waves of enemy airplanes. The first wave has 8, the second wave 12. So there are 20 planes total and you must personally destroy 12 of them.
What makes this tricky is that your teammates also shoot down these planes and they do so relatively quickly. You have to be very fast and shoot down as many planes as you can.

Press the touchpad to highlight enemy planes. Fly close to them and hold L2 to target them. Once you've locked on them you can speed up (push left stick up) to get closer to them, thus they are easier to hit. It may take a few playthroughs. The thing is, there are several checkpoints throughout this and if you were too slow in the beginning it's almost impossible to still end up with 12 kills.
What I recommend is making a manual backup before this section. When you reach the plane section, pause the game and choose "Leave" (do not quit application as it will not save). Once you are back in the main menu you can go to PS4 Settings --- Application Saved Data Management and back up in PS+ Cloud or on USB. This way, if the trophy doesn't pop, you can simply copy back the save and don't have to go through the entire mission again.
