The chapter 3 boss is essentially a fire-breathing dragon but it's a plane. This is easily the second toughest boss in the game, next to the chapter 5 boss. The plus side to this boss is that he shifts from the top of the screen to the bottom, back and forth so while you focus on dodging he'll be running into your bullets.

I suggest playing it safe and focusing on dodging the flaming bullets. Every time you blow something up on the boss, he will shoots a very large blast across the entire screen. This blast will have a safe spot directed right at you so try to stay relatively still while that happens.

When he moves into his final phase it's basically a game of cat and mouse. He'll fly around all over the screen and you must chase him, getting in damage when you can.
