Better cornering
Collect and save an Auto-Pilot power-up. When you reach a tricky corner, get around it as much as possible, then activate the Auto-Pilot power-up at the last moment.

Quick start
Just as the announcer yells "Go", press Boost. If done correctly, you will get a huge boost which propels you to the middle of the field in a flash. It may be difficult to time this correctly without practicing. Try shutting your eyes and just listening.
