This also counts in co-op mode. Use R3 to perform a takedown, it doesn't matter if the enemy spots you or not. But make sure that you perform a takedown and not just a melee attack.
The best way to do it, is in a stronghold in the Old Town red zone. There will be 4-5 snipers each time. Once you have killed them all, just die and repeat.
