w is a useful weapon for fighting mobs or fellow players from a distance. However, it is useless by itself and requires you to find or craft Arrow. You must carry Arrows in your inventory, the arrows will automatically load into your bow for firing. 3 strings and 3 wooden sticks are required for the bow.

While one can craft this item, Bows are also dropped by the Skeleton mob.
