To control any purchases made on your account, you can require a passkey before a purchase can be completed. Learn more about the benefits of setting a passkey.

How to require a passkey for purchases

1. Go to the Home screen.
2. Press the Menu button on the controller.

3. Select Settings.

Note You can say Xbox, go to settings from any screen, but youll need a controller to navigate once youre on the Settings screen.

5. If you havent already created a passkey, youll need to do that first. Select Create my passkey. Using your controller, set a 6-digit passkey and confirm. See Create a passkey on your Xbox One Console for more information.
6. Once you have your passkey, select the Purchase requires passkey check box. Now, when you want to make a purchase with your saved Xbox Live profile, youll be prompted to enter your passkey. To turn this feature off, repeat this step and clear the check box.
