Sonic Origins was just announced for Sonic's 31st birthday. The compilation will feature ports of the first three Sonic games for the Genesis, Sonic & Knuckles, and Sonic CD from the Sega Saturn. After years without a truly new location in Rainbow Six Siege, the game is getting three new maps for Year 7, and now Emerald Plains, the first of those maps, has arrived. Shortly after Elden Ring came out, players discovered, somehow, that a few of the game's walls could be destroyed by hitting them roughly 50 times. We tested it ourselves, with 45 swings required on a wall in Volcano Manor, but it turns out this was a bug. The Steam Deck is a mighty-fine piece of kit, as verified by our review. But given that it’s essentially a deceptively powerful handheld PC, it may require a fair bit of tweaking both by owners and the Deck devs at Valve before we find those sweetspots between battery life and performance. Veteran Halo composers Marty O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori sued Microsoft in 2020 over alleged unpaid royalties, and now that case has come to an end. O'Donell said on Twitter that he and Salvatori have "amicably resolved their differences" in the matter. As it does each month, Microsoft is removing some titles from the Xbox Game Pass library. The company has now disclosed which games are leaving the catalog at the end of the month, and four are going away. These include Cricket 19, Outlast 2, Secret Neighbor, and Streets of Rage 4.
