Street Fighter 5 April Update to Address Rage Quitting

4.7
Capcom’s Street Fighter 5 will be receiving a new update this month and it looks to finally address rage quitting from matches. Though the developer has acknowledged the issue since launch, the update will finally implement a system for the same.

Earlier, Capcom had relied on player reports and videos of quitters. Later, it would look at higher disconnect rates among users and removed League Points for those who kept quitting. However, there’s apparently an even better option. Capcom tweeted about the same but it didn’t provide any details.

“We’re planning to roll out a system this month that will address the rage quitting issue in #SFV. More details coming soon!”

What could it be? We’ll find out later but there’s more coming this month with the April update including Trials, challenges and access to the first major character – Alex – though the game’s real money currency still isn’t ready. What are your thoughts on the new system? Let us know in the comments.

That is a great update bc I hate rage quitters. Although I don't play this game.

More games should follow suite on this, its incredibly annoying in other games.

Screw rage quitters man.

Why have a rank system when there aren't any penalties for rage quitting? People have gotten up to platinum and they're complete garbage.

Glad to see them getting after those damn rage quitters.

Nothing worse than rage quitters. Good on them.
