Rumor: New CoD to see Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty 4 as a digital bonus

4.1
We know little to nothing about Infinity Ward's upcoming Call of Duty title for this year, but a credible source reached out to us speculating over some details with the new title.

According to this source, there is a possibility that we could be seeing some sort of pre-order bonus content. What we may see in this bonus content is not yet confirmed, but our source tells us we may see Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Previous game titles as a pre-order bonus is not new to us.

Just to name a few games that have done this:
Dark Souls 3:
Dark Souls

Fallout 4:
Fallout 3

Quantum Break:
Alan Wake

Rainbow Six Siege:
Rainbow Six Vegas
Rainbow Six Vegas 2

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition:
Gears of War
Gears of War 2
Gears of War 3
Gears of War: Judgment

Just Cause 3:
Just Cause 2

All these games are backwards compatible, so whose to say we won't see the same with Call of Duty 2016? We cannot speak on behalf of what PlayStation will be doing, but this trend of pre-order bonuses on Xbox One gives a light to what Call of Duty 2016 could give us.

As you recall from Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, a bonus digital full game download for the original Call of Duty: Black Ops was given out. This could only add more reasons to why Activition would want to do this with Call of Duty 2016.

I don't know about you guys, but I would love to see Modern Warfare 2 on Xbox One.

I could see them doing this, I'd like that, it would give us something to go back on when we don't want to play the new call of duty.

-Kraddy Not sure how this would go. Everyone loves the old Call of Duties, and if they brought back these during the time of a new CoD release, I feel it may kill the player count of the new CoD.

That's exactly how I feel about this. It wouldn't bring in much sales either because so many people already own MW1/Mw2 so people wouldn't bother pre-order for the game bonuses.

that said but the older CoD's on last gen hardware never did seem to slow the sales of the newer CoD's and to be honest if people cared so much they would not buy the newer ones and play the older ones on 360/PS3
