Rumor: New CoD to see Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty 4 as a digital bonus

4.1
We know little to nothing about Infinity Ward's upcoming Call of Duty title for this year, but a credible source reached out to us speculating over some details with the new title.

According to this source, there is a possibility that we could be seeing some sort of pre-order bonus content. What we may see in this bonus content is not yet confirmed, but our source tells us we may see Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Previous game titles as a pre-order bonus is not new to us.

Just to name a few games that have done this:
Dark Souls 3:
Dark Souls

Fallout 4:
Fallout 3

Quantum Break:
Alan Wake

Rainbow Six Siege:
Rainbow Six Vegas
Rainbow Six Vegas 2

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition:
Gears of War
Gears of War 2
Gears of War 3
Gears of War: Judgment

Just Cause 3:
Just Cause 2

All these games are backwards compatible, so whose to say we won't see the same with Call of Duty 2016? We cannot speak on behalf of what PlayStation will be doing, but this trend of pre-order bonuses on Xbox One gives a light to what Call of Duty 2016 could give us.

As you recall from Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, a bonus digital full game download for the original Call of Duty: Black Ops was given out. This could only add more reasons to why Activition would want to do this with Call of Duty 2016.

I don't know about you guys, but I would love to see Modern Warfare 2 on Xbox One.

why don't they just create one amazing remaster before the franchise dies because of black ops and ghosts

the reason i think this wouldn't happen is because true Call Of Duty fans like my self and many many others will probably play this more than the Cod they release.

Rawrrrrrr eh, like me, most people have had these games since they came out so no point pre-ordering for games you already have.

if you dont have a 360 anymore there is a point

Not really, if you don't have a 360 anymore, but still have the games, you can just put them into your xbox one. I did this for most of my games.

This would be awesome, Hope it's true

Giving out games that have been modded in to obvlivion. Just like people were saying below, I'd rather have them make a remake than to do backwards compatibility.

LostPhone If this is true I would buy that cod JUST for MW2/Cod4.

I think most people will buy the new cod because of this really

Simplified
-Ragnarok I would rather them not be backward compatible and instead be ported over like what 343 did with the halo series. Either way would be amazing though.

Yea but look how much of a fail MCC was the game was unplayable for like 2 months

That was only because they combined 5 different games into one, the code was everywhere and causing issues. If they release on separate discs/downloads it should be fine.
