Not Every Xbox Game Will Come To Windows 10, Says Phil Spencer

4.7
Microsoft has moved to announce more and more of its games for Windows 10 PCs, we have begun to wonder at the wisdom of the strategy, since it completely nullifies the need to own an Xbox in the first place– at some fundamental level, consoles still need exclusives to justify their existence.

It seems that, on some level at least, Microsoft does agree with us, because Xbox head Phil Spencer has spoken out, assuring fans that not all Xbox exclusives will be coming to Windows 10.

Speaking to IGN in a podcast, Spencer said that Microsoft is more committed to consoles than it has ever been, and that not all Xbox One games will come to Windows 10 too.

Of course, with titles such as Scalebound, Forza Horizon 3, and Gears of War 4 all variously starting to be rumored for PCs too, at this point, I am not sure how seriously I want to take what he says. It is time for Microsoft to put their money where their mouth is.

Seam In line with my last comment; That was obvious but if it want to be a competing platform to steam it will have to be a fair few of them at least.

That sucks that not every game would go to Windows 10

He says that, we all know it's simply a matter of time before the statistics show Windows 10 is gaining more popularity than the Xbox One. He'll then change his mind and slowly, but surely Windows 10 will replace the Xbox One. It's pretty much a dead console. Or at least, will be very soon.

'at some fundamental level, consoles still need exclusives to justify their existence.' This is one of the stupidest statements i've ever read. Consoles are affordable, PC's are not. A lot of people prefer to use console thanks to its affordability and ease to play. Just because games are being announced on windows 10, in no way will this see the downfall of consoles.

Not really, it's just personal preference.

Valor Doing this to appease console gamers I'm sure

You're absolutely right. Every time Microsoft announces a new exclusive going to win10 a bunch of little console kiddies freak out and say "they're taking away our exclusives!!1" smh
