Red Dead Redemption is now backward compatible on Xbox One, Plus More

4.5
Surprise! Red Dead Redemption is backward compatible on Xbox One now. And guess what? Halo Wars, Left 4 Dead and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night are on the way too it seems, and it appears Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is also playable.

According to Xboxyen, the Rockstar Games western is now able to be played on Xbox One; however, the site notes their disc isn’t working with the feature just yet – only the digital version of the game. So, it may just be a matter of time before the Xbox 360 disc is recognized.

Venture Beat was playing it earlier on their Xbox One, and confirmed it was only working with the Games on Demand version of the game.

The game also isn’t showing up in “My Games & Apps” on the Xbox One dashboard for those who own it yet, but Venture Beat has a request for comment in with Microsoft now.

If you follow the instructions VB has lined out, you should get it to work, but the site notes it might not work for everyone.

As for the other titles, Xbox One user Rocko Howard posted a video of himself playing Tekken Tag Tournament 2 earlier today through his Excitehype YouTube channel

He also posted images of the RDR listing, Halo Wars, Left 4 Dead, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night on Twitter. Note that some are listed as Games on Demand versions.

Halo Wars still listed on the Xbox Feedback site as “in progress” along with other titles in the works.

IGN I just called xbox support about the code of conduct issue and they said anyone who is playing the game early will be banned for "pirating" and they suggest not to play the game until its released to risk not getting banned. I just thought i would let everyone know the risk they are taking if they play the game at the moment.

Doubt they will ban anyone over this, its kinda their mistake.

You would be surprised of what they could do if they wanted

They ban people all the time for playing games early, i wouldn't be surprised.

I'm really excited for Halo Wars, and them making it BC shows a pretty nice glimmer of hope for Halo Wars 2 development.
