Master Chief to return
A lot of people, actually, including 343 Industries’ creative director Frank O’Connor who says Master Chief’s return is definite.
“We’d have to be the world’s biggest a**holes not to follow through,” O’Connor said in a Comic-Con interview. “We certainly haven’t seen the last of Master Chief.”
While anyone can figure you’d have to have ice running through your veins to want to end the Chief’s story at Halo 3, it’s nice to hear that Halo: Reach doesn’t signify the end of our favorite spartan.

I'm trying to figure out why people are so ignorant. Bungie is moving locations to a studio that's been in the making for a while now, custom tailored to their needs. How could you think reach was their last game? Yes, last HALO game. Not last game. With the amount of money they're going to make from reach they wouldn't just fire their 150+ staff and disassemble the company.
And what I don't get is the whole dissing thing going on. Call of duty, woop-de-**** do, they can stretch the series as far as they want, but they're not unique at all. Each one is the exact same as the others. Reach is a lot different, look at all of the new features, and just try and say that black ops is even close to matching that and you would lose in a battle against any game reviewer or reasonably-sensed person. Saying that halo nerds always buy a new game is totally uncalled for. Is that even mentioned in the article? NO. And why would you be such an idiot to not buy a great game because it doesn't have a specific character in it? Reach will kick the **** ass right off of Halo 3 and the previous halo games, with or without the chief. Saying things like "I'll only buy it if master chief is back" is **** stupid. The game has a ton of stuff in it meant for multiplayer, hell, that is 80% main focus of the game. Campaign is fun, and it looks awesome, but most of the replay value is in the multiplayer. This is where it excels and is better than any cod game out on the market, or coming to the market around the same time (black ops). I've played both games. Cod 4 was fun for a bit but got old fast. Mw2, campaign was alright, but multiplayer the same as cod 4. there is no variation. There is nothing that is new in call of duty. Graphics dont make a game. The gameplay does. Halo is balanced. Call of duty is not. Halo has a variety of things, and is constantly bringing in new things, such as the vastly improved level editor, which is not even had anything similar of it in any call of duty game. Instead, you must pay money for ms points so you can buy maps that are different. You're like apple customers, in a walled garden, but worse. You can only play what the developer makes, you can't make anything for yourself. Having customizability in games is what makes them worth playing for a long time, because it is never exactly the same thing over and over and **** over again.

Even though i don't like Halo much, i would still buy the next game if it spelled the return of the Master Chief.
