Call of Duty 2016: Infinity Ward Says “2016 Is Going To Be Incredible”

Another year, another Call of Duty. Of course, considering the resurgence the franchise has seen in the last year, with the launch of Treyarch’s Black Ops 3, which reverses the trend of flagging sales and quality for the franchise, one is bound to have renewed enthusiasm for the franchise again.

This year’s Call of Duty game is going to be helmed, presumably, by franchise creators Infinity Ward, who have hinted that great things are in store for Call of Duty fans. “Happy new year!! 2016 is going to be incredible. Let’s do this,” Infinity Ward said on Twitter. “Here’s to reaching new heights!”

The last Infinity Ward Call of Duty game, Ghosts, was launched in 2013, for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, and PC, to wide critical disdain. However, it was made on a truncated development cycle, and suffered from the console transition as well- presumably, this year’s game, which will be the first game Infinity Ward have developed on a three year cycle, can live up to the standard set by past Infinity Ward Call of Duty games.

Ahahaha NO!! Cod4 was the only good one they made, the rest have been terrible

I hope that infinity ward actually makes a good call of duty as all the cods recently have been nothing but trash.

Inceptionate Man I'm so pumped for this! I just hope it's no more of this futuristic crap, bring back the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare days.

Honestly can't wait for November this year if they're making this CoD.
The game hasn't been the same for so long!
Even if they just remastered MW2 I'd be happy.

To be quite honest, I'd be happy them not even releasing a new COD and making them exact games available for Xbone. I know BO1 is coming soon but them 2 games were the best in the franchise. Starting going downhill from there.


i 100% agree. i think that they would be really successful for them. i know i'd buy it haha


Its because those games were so basic in setting up a class it was just Pick 3 perks, pick a main weapon, a side, and a few killstreaks. go play. now its , Pick a primary and its 20 attachments, pick its side and its twenty attachments, pick your support streaks, your killstreaks,your perk streaks, your wild card streaks, how your character looks, where your character was born, what language they speak, if they are a marathon olympic runner or a limping cripple. and about 500 other things before you even get to the game mode. Alongside this map design has gone from simple and satisfying to overly complicated messes.
