Microsoft HoloLens Demoed With Halo 5 Guardians Usage

4.6
We’ve seen Minecraft demoed on Microsoft HoloLens, the augmented reality glasses that were showcased at E3 2015 for the first time, and there have been various uses showcased since then. One of the more intriguing uses is with Halo 5: Guardians and a new video shows project manager Varun Mani testing out HoloLens with the same. Check it out below.

It’s nothing too fancy per say – Mani essentially streams Halo 5 from a TV to the AR glasses and can effectively view it independent from the main screen. The AR screen can be moved around and re-positioned as the situation requires. Again, it’s nothing as complex as Minecraft but it’s intriguing all the same.

Microsoft hasn’t really put a price point or release date on to HoloLens though it seems like 2016 will be the right time to expect it. Is the technology more intriguing than VR solutions like Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR or less? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Seems kind of cool but I would never play games using the HoloLens like that. Why would I want to take my game with me around the house unless I was playing in the living room and wanted to go to my bedroom?
